happy new year!

I love that the end of a year makes us reflect on the previous 12-month chapter of our lives – our highlights, our accomplishments, and {briefly} our regrets.  I look back on 2012 so fondly.  At this time last year I was driving all of my earthly possessions up from southern California to move to a new city and into a new apartment with a man whom I had only known for four months, but whom I felt like I had known my entire life.  A new city, a new apartment, a new job, new friends, a new perspective – so much has changed for me personally over this past year, and it has been exhilarating.  I have felt more out of my comfort zone yet more myself than ever before, and the world {at least my world} seems to be righting itself.  A large part of that has been discovering this new world of blogging, which has allowed me {like so many other bloggers} to find a creative outlet that had previously been stifled, to be inspired by all the amazingly talented bloggers out there whose blogs I devour, and to connect with strangers about food on a level that I had never before thought possible.  I am so grateful for my life generally, but 2012 has been a particular blessing.  Thank you all for your love and support.

I wish you all a happy, healthy, and inspired 2013!

Love, Lindsay
