Over the long Memorial Day weekend last year, Matt, Layla and I headed up to Tomales Bay Oyster Company in Point Reyes for some oysters and sunshine. The oysters are harvested from the bay and sold by the sack, unopened – self-service style, with a shucker if you need one. Even though I have had a few, um…reactions…to oysters, I will never give up on them. Sitting there, under the sun, on the bank of the bay, shucking and eating oysters and sipping champagne – it was my food obsessed version of heaven. I am so grateful that places like this exist, and I hope I can convince Matt to go back here very soon. Hope you have a fantastic Memorial Day weekend!
