Matt and I were recent beneficiaries of an extremely generous gift – a gift certificate to the Bardessono resort and spa in Yountville, California. Located in the very heart of Yountville, this stunning, modern yet warm, LEED platinum certified resort and spa, was by far the most amazing hotel experience either of us have ever had. After an afternoon of wine tasting, we checked in, were greeted with {another} glass of complimentary local wine, and personally escorted through the gorgeous property to our room. Oh the room…I think I squealed a little when we walked in…it was the most beautiful room I had ever seen, complete with a private balcony and exterior window shades that scrolled down at the touch of a button {I totally thought of the movie The Holiday when Kate Winslet’s character discovers Cameron Diaz’s character’s remote controlled bedroom shutters}. After changing into our swim suits, we headed up to the rooftop pool, where we leisurely floated on rafts and snacked on halibut ceviche in our private cabana. When we returned to our room, we were greeted with a complimentary split of champagne, with a very kind note wishing “Mr. and Mrs. C” a wonderful stay. I am not quite yet a Mrs., but we liked the sound of it so much that we weren’t about to correct their mistake. Thank you Bardessono for your graciousness and hospitality, and for making us feel incredibly spoiled and well cared for!

And it’s dog friendly too!! Oh my it looks amazing What a wonderful gift. The resort and spa is gorgeous, love it and wish I lived on the west coast so I could enjoy!!
Yes! They do charge a fee to bring dogs, but they were quite sweet about it, and brought Layla her own little doggie bed and bowls. You should hit up the resort on your wine trip through Northern California and Oregon! 🙂
This place is gorgeous! I must splurge one day and check it out next time I’m in Yountville.
Yes! At the very least have breakfast or lunch there. The grounds are quite pretty. xoxo
Sounds delightful! Love the shot of the wall decor from an angle – really nice choice of dept of field.
Thank you! I think it was a C Jere piece. Was really beautiful and mid-century modern-y. xoxo
Layla is just living the dream!! I love it!
Haha yeah she was! She was so sweet – we brought her with us to the wineries (which are all suprisingly dog friendly, which is awesome) and she was the greeter – she would go up to everyone that came in and welcome them. So cute! xoxo
